Goldenrod - Autumn, 2013
Actually... blame the ragweed.
Goldenrod is commonly blamed for late summer allergies, but ragweed is virtually always the real culprit.
Goldenrod blooms produce large, heavy pollen grains that are well-suited for propagation by a huge variety of bees and wasps. Ragweed blooms during the same time of year as goldenrod, but it's not nearly as much of a show-off -- so once again, the pretty girl gets the blame for the misdeeds of the bad girl.
