Dwarf Crested Iris (Iris Cristata) - Upper Ogden Creek, near Pettigrew AR.

Common throughout the Ozarks, this native wildflower is fond of rocky, sandy soil on hillsides near water.

Colors range from almost pure white with blue accents to deep violet. Although buds from other rhizomes in this colony have a strong violet cast, the open blossoms are primarily white
